State Fair of Texas Announces Inaugural Saddle Up Fundraising Event with Star-Studded Lineup

DALLAS – July 17, 2024 – The State Fair of Texas is set to debut its first-ever State Fair Saddle Up fundraising event, promising an evening of entertainment and philanthropy in support of Texas students. Hosted by the Big Tex Champion Club, the event will take place at The Rustic in Dallas on the evening of August 24, 2024.

Chaired by Robert and Stephani Walne, alongside Honorary Chairs Kyle and Courtney Noonan, the Saddle Up event aims to bolster the Big Tex Youth Livestock Auction and Scholarship Program. This initiative has a long-standing history of awarding over $33 million in auction awards and college scholarships, significantly impacting the lives of numerous Texas students.

The night will feature performances by country music artists Jon Wolfe and Cory Morrow, ensuring an unforgettable experience for attendees. In addition to the live music, guests can participate in a live auction and enjoy State Fair Midway games, all set against the backdrop of The Rustic's vibrant atmosphere.

Two types of tickets are available for the event. The $500 VIP ticket offers exclusive perks, including a reserved VIP area, express check-in, food and drinks, live music, State Fair Midway games, and a season pass for all 24 days of the 2024 State Fair of Texas. The $250 general admission ticket provides open seating and standing room, food and drinks, live music, State Fair Midway games, and a one-day admission ticket to the 2024 State Fair.

The Saddle Up event is part of a broader effort by the State Fair of Texas to raise funds through various initiatives throughout the year. These include the Big Tex Clay Shoot Classic and Big Tex Golf Classic. The funds raised support several community programs, such as the Big Tex Scholarship Program, Big Tex Urban Farms, and the Big Tex Community Giving Program, among others.
